​Marcheta Tanner tragically lost her son Trevor in 2004 when he was killed in a case of mistaken identity during a contract killing. Trevor was in the passenger seat of a vehicle when he was rushed by 2 people and taken captive, then killed. This devastating loss has changed Marcheta’s family forever…

 

Since the loss of her son, Marcheta has been involved with Compassionate Friends a self-help support group for those who are grieving the death of a child. Marcheta has made many friends that have helped her along the way in the healing process. She is now one of the chapter leaders at Compassionate Friends and facilitates a monthly drop-in support group in Winnipeg.
